I have a bizarre flaw that allows me to sleep for as many hours as I want - before 8am when I boing up

just watched most recent cut of a certain pilot that was very, very good
then i was really out of lyrics. but, jay is sad because he realized he was old and going to bed before the end of a gin blossoms concert
then it came to me! “I won’t believe the gin blossoms are done until — wait for it — I hear it from you”
… but not before jay could yell out requests for a nice depeche mode cover of “enjoy the silence” followed by a simon & garfunkel cover
then jay tried to make a pun: “hey, jealousy, I’m jealous of you, would you shut up?” or something. it didn’t quite work.
I tried to make a comeback, but I don’t really know the gin blossoms lyrics super well, you see, on grounds of liking my eardrums
we thought the gin blossoms were done, but it was apparently the shortest pause before an encore ever.
