Stella McCartney pays tribute to mother Linda with new fragrance
L.I.L.Y follows on from Stella’s hugely successful first scent, the rose-based STELLA, and as the name denotes, lily-of-the-valley, a favourite flower of her mother’s and part of the designers bridal bouquet, is the base of the scent mixed with slightly masculine and earthy hints of truffle and oak moss by perfumer Jacques Cavallier.
I can’t wait to try this. I’m always drawn to women’s perfumes that use typically masculine scents. I’m all about Tom Ford’s Violet Blonde right now, but L.I.L.Y. could well be added to the mix.
